Google Ads
Getting started with google ads
Within Google, there's what's called The Organic Results. These are the results that Google pulls up in the search results for free because it's ranked as high-quality content, and Google knows it will provide a solution. Getting to the top of Google Search organically is ideal but a lengthy and challenging process. You have to write high-quality content to get lots of links from other credible websites pointing back to your content.
So what's the benefit of using Google ads? It accelerates your results. Google puts relevant paid ads at the top of the search results. These paid ads are created through the Google ads platform, which used to be called AdWords, but it changed its name to Google ads.
How does it work? If you want your ad to be on the top of the search results for a particular keyword (A keyword is whatever someone searches in Google). So, for instance, you might tell Google I want to be at the top. I give you one dollar every time someone clicks on my ad. Now, you don't pay unless someone clicks on your ads. This is an auction, like a bidding system, so someone else might come along and say I'll pay a dollar fifty, and they would go to the top of the search results. Therefore, the more people involved, the higher the bid could be. It does get a little bit more complicated than that. Still, the simple version is you pay for Google every time someone clicks on your ad, and the way it works is you know every time someone clicks on the ad as it costs money.
